"Talking is silver, pleading is gold"
Monday evening the 17th of October, Magister JFT | DiCiT will organize the first public plea-evening of this academic year. If you want to learn how to think and how to plead in a legal problem-solving way, then this is your chance! During the plea-evening you will receive some practical experience in a pleasant and informal way, which is essential for your legal future. Moreover, the plea-evening is specially interesting for Moot Court-students in favor of their preparation for this course.
The plea-evening will take place in building E’s Blackbox (Esplanade-building). All law students are invited to join us as from 6.45 PM!
During the first part of the evening, two students will apply their pleading skills by competing in contract law case. This case will be made public on the DiCiT-website two weeks prior to the plea-evening (www.magisterjft.nl/dicit).
After that, two teams of two students will attend to a speedpleading-case, which will be a familiy law case. This case will be handed out at the beginning of the evening, giving the participants the opportunity to prepare themselves shortly. We will provide the tools you need to prepare (codes, manuals, computers etc.).
There is also a possibility to take place in the audience if you don’t feel like participating actively. As a member of the audience you will get the opportunity to give feedback to your fellow students. A court existing out of legal professionals will provide the pleaders with tips and feedback to improve their pleading-skills!
We will finish the evening with a pleasant drink in Esplanade’s restaurant!

- 7 PM: Word of welcome
- 7.15 PM: Start prepared Law of obligations-case
- 7.45 PM: Feedback from the audience and jury’s assessment
- 8.15 PM: Break
- 8.30 PM: Start speed pleading, family law case
- 9 PM: Feedback from the audience and jury’s assessment
- 9.30 PM: Drink in Esplanade bar

Openingstijden
De Magisterkamer (E211) is van maandag tot en met donderdag geopend tussen 9.00 en 17.00 uur en op vrijdag van 11.00 tot 17.00 uur. Tijdens deze uren kun je binnenlopen voor vragen of gewoon om gezellig een kopje koffie te drinken.
Op 17 en 18 mei is de Magisterkamer gesloten.
Let op! Vanaf 18 juni gaat ons zomerreces in. Dit betekent dat je vanaf dan alleen nog tussen 10.00 en 13.00 uur op de Magisterkamer terecht kunt.
Samenvattingen kunnen alleen op dinsdag en donderdag tussen 10.00u en 12.00u worden gekocht op de Magisterkamer. Op andere dagen en tijdstippen worden er geen samenvattingen verkocht.
